Once in a lifetime trip

(Anonymous) 2020-05-23 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
To curb climate change, the world restricts everyone to one return plane trip in their lifetime. Where are you going to go?

Me, I'd chose Japan.

Some country in the North where I can sit there, people watch and wait to see some northern lights.

One trip in my lifetime? Wow, that's tough. My dream first time on my own and paying for myself vacation is Hawaii, but I don't think I'd pick that as my one last trip ever place.

I'm going to go with continental Europe. How can I pick a whole continent you say? Well, you didn't put a time limit on how long the trip would take. So I'd fly into a city on one side, then I'd take the train and visit all the places in Europe I want to visit, and the fly home from a city on the other side. Honestly this is my big dream vacation anyway. I love trains.

Iceland or Japan. Most other interesting places I can go by train.

I'd probably go with Japan as well. Most other places I really want to visit can be reached on land (whee Europe), but Japan is kind of a long trip and I'm not sure how ferry business in the Sea of Japan is *g*

Japan because I'm a massive weeb and I've never been there before.

I guess I'd fly to Ireland, take a boat to Britain, take the train to France, and continue East until I hit water, then take a boat to Japan, and when I'm done in Japan I'll fly home.

I'm fortunate enough to have mainland Europe accessible enough that I've done a lot of it that I've wanted to do, so...New Zealand or Australia would be my answer.

We lived in Australia for a bit when I was a kid so I would bo back there not only to revisit the place I lived, but to do all the touristy things I never got to do.

After that, I could be content just exploring North America by land and water.

Japan or Iceland... but I'll sure miss visiting my parents. Guess I'll have to take an extra four days of vacation around Christmas to drive down and back for the holidays.

Cuba I've always wanted to go there and if I could only take one last air flight somewhere it'd have to be Cuba.
