I found a sketchbook from my highschool years, now almost 20 years old, filled with dated emo teenage crappy fanart. I marvel at having ever been so young and stupid... Should I post the crappy fanarts, or keep hiding them forever?

Did you continue sketching and making art?

Either way, it's really up to you. Do you think showing your talent levels from 20 years ago reflects badly upon who you are today?

I stopped and took it up again some 15 years later. I'm dismayed at how little progress I've made in the few years I did it actively. On the other hand, I find the shift in fandoms and themes used hilarious.

DA

I say post. Whatever Teenage You's skills might have been, they had a passionate heart. I respect that.

Enjoy the nostalgia, and you'll probably have people who look at the art and also enjoy the nostalgia.

However you want, nonny! I recently cleaned out my closet and found some old notebooks containing my first fics. They're trash, but I shared them with my friends and we had a good laugh over them. I'm not an amazing writer, but my character development has improved somewhat, so that was nice to see. I also found it funny how all the tropes I'm fond of are all found in my early fics. I guess I haven't changed much in that respect.

don't. Or edit/redo and then post.

I honestly love looking back my old notebooks, I began dating the images like seven years ago so it's very interesting for me to look from image to image since my artstyle was never very consistent to see how they changed. Like if you think any of them are worth sharing I'd say go ahead and do it!
