How long do you wait for WIPs to update before giving up on them?

(Anonymous) 2020-05-24 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)Basically if the update schedule seems stable, the writer keeps their audience posted, and they seem active in engaging with other people's works (commenting and bookmarking things, having other fandom related social media they're active on) then I know their WIP will likely some day be a finished work because they're very engaged with things. Also if they're getting a decent amount of feedback from me and other people I know they'll continue to feel motivated and excited to keep posting. I like engaging with WIPs in this sense because I know for the people writing them it's important to have feedback throughout the process.
