I'm saying that something about Hetalia gets me the wrong way. It's the fact that it doesn't account for the horrors of war. Hetalia almost isn't the issue, though... it's anon telling me to get over myself for experiencing pain. That is the disrespect I'm offended by.

(Anonymous) 2008-12-01 12:35 am (UTC)(link)Ever think why they avoid such a sensitive subject by not making strips of it? Who knows, maybe Hidekaz would write about it someday. But he doesn't protray war as this happy, fun time to be in either.
And I think people are pissed that people are telling them that they're insensitive about what happened by enjoying Hetalia. I think a lot of people are defending the series because it doesn't do half the stuff people accused it of.
So it became a jumbled mess of wank.
