But I can see why the episodes can ruin the show for someone, it did for me.

The first episode killed one of the main characters (for me). If the lore was different I would have understood it better, as it is the rape-undertones from that sex scene was something I couldn't stomach especially from a once favorite character. And the second episode was pretty ridiculous from the 'grace in a bottle' to the cheesy sex scene *shrugs*

Who was raped? It all looked pretty consensual to me. Unless you count the brain dead corpse that Ruby is inhabiting as caring one way or another. The zombie implications might be a bit off putting.

But seriously, if the character is Sam, he's been lying, stealing, sleeping and killing his way through the whole series. He's struggling with a demonic nature. I don't see a rape the dog moment here. Just more of the same ole same ole.

As for the grace in a bottle, eh, no more cheesy than demons with yellow eyes and the whole tornado of black that rushes out of people. If you are going to give Evil a physical nature, there is no reason why you shouldn't do the same thing with Good.

Consensual how? 'Cause Ruby wanted to have sex with Sam (and vice versa)? That doesn't negate the fact that the body she was using wasn't hers. It was Jane Doe's body, alive or dead. Say Jane Doe had a family, you honestly think they'd be a-ok with Sam having sex with it? I highly doubt it. It's body violation thus the rape-undertones. Either way (pseudo-necrophilia or body violation) it's 'off-putting' and disgusting and again for me a character killer *shrugs* Also the fact that other characters are implying that it wasn't just once makes it worse. This is just my opinion, though, so we can agree to disagree.

The second episode didn't kill the series for me, I just thought it was extremely cheesy.

It's a corpse. The person is gone. They'd be harvesting it for parts or burying it. I don't have any ethical problems with this. After all, does a corpse have any say what a person does with their organs after they've been donated? At most the next of kin (of which she appears to have none that they can find) might have some objections, but to call this rape is stretching that word way out shape.

Also, considering all the things Ruby (and for that matter Castiel) has done with the person still locked and conscious inside this is a strange time to be objecting over a little sex where the person is already gone.

Uhh, Sam has shot innocent girls who were possessed before and was actually about to kill a little girl because she was possessed by a demon. He was also willing to sacrifice a virgin. I'm unclear as to how sleeping with a body whose soul has moved on and whose brain is no longer conscious is much worse.

Also, pls not to be using the word "rape" because it is not. You can't rape someone who's dead in the same way you can't murder someone who's dead. That's why people who have sex with a corpse don't get charged with rape.
