*offers breasts*And yeah, the main story of Hetalia is all just... anecdotal tidbits of silliness, war-related, UFO-related, or otherwise. I suppose the title is "Axis Powers", but honestly, WW2 is not the main focus of the webcomic. There's just as much on the past of Italy and the other nations as their is on the Axis Powers, I think.
Sometimes Fanfic/Fanart does delve into the darker aspects of the themes in Hetalia, but most of the ones I've read are tasteful and incredibly well researched, with the amount of tact and correctness that I really approve of.

Of course war is bad,ON ALL SIDES,but it can't be blamed on populations and APH explain it well about the different views between nation-tans and their bosses(!)
