Oh man I feel you OP. I've always been a bit of a lurker, but I seem to have become one of the main active people in my main (fairly small) fandom after writing what turned out to be a very popular fic, and am as close to a BNF as it's possible to get in close quarters. It's nice in some ways, but I've never felt any kind of expectation in a fandom before and it's really messing with my sense of what's "good enough", because I feel that everything I post has to be extra good, which I never worried too much about before because I never had anyone to let down.

I hope you come to peace with your experience, or manage to slip out of things gradually if it's not what you want or you fall out of love with your fandom.
