(Anonymous) 2020-05-28 12:31 am (UTC)(link)There is an issue with massively increased censorship, yes, but I guess this novel might get lucky for the most part because this author tends to be very slow burn and work safe for the most part when it comes to the romance part, with more of a focus on the plot in general. But yeah, other novels have already been locked or had chapters taken down, so it definitely is a risk, especially with m/m stories.

(Anonymous) 2020-05-28 06:48 am (UTC)(link)I'm going to check out their other novel then, sounds awesome.
Unfortunately TV series success is no guarantee that the novel gets a translation. I've been waiting for a couple translations for ages.

(Anonymous) 2020-05-28 07:47 am (UTC)(link)When it comes to translations... Yeah, I know I'm probably ungrateful but I hate it when people link their barely readable MTLs on novelupdates. Beggars can't be choosers and all. But I've seen it happen too often that novels that had slower but solid/high quality translations going were abandoned as soon as someone started spamming crappy MTL because the translators were getting discouraged (which is what happened to Thousand Autumns for a while).

(Anonymous) 2020-05-29 12:33 pm (UTC)(link)I didn't noticed the spamming, but I'm a new fan of Chinese novels and TV series. I feel you on the beggars can't be choosers and subpar translations. It's still better than google translate (most of the time).
