Ugh, that would bother me too. I despise zero-to-fucking in 1.2 seconds, at least for first time lovers. And especially when there was a great emotional aspect to it and all this relationship development, then it gets thrown out for the sake of smut, and I feel like I'm not even reading the same two characters anymore. It's like, no. You haven't earned that yet! I'm weird like that, though.
