Re: gender bending

I am ambivalent toward gender bending. The only time I was excited about it was when these two girls made a youtube series where rhey were the genderbent versions of Sam and Dean (Supernatural). It was great! I was so about it! It has been a while, so I don't know if it holds up. The idea is plausible in fhe SPNiverse, as I think the women set it up as en episode where Sam and Dean were ensorcelled.

Yeah, that sounds like a cool thing. I generally don't like genderbending though because I like reading about the characters as they are in canon as much as possible. So, like, headcanons and the like are fine, making up how they'd react to situations they've never been in in canon is fine, but (from my perspective) arbitrarily changing major details about them just because never made sense to me because in my mind why even like the character in the first place if you didn't like something that in your face? I also just can't get over seeing them as X or Y so it just...doesn't vibe with me to have content contrary to that.
