I wouldn't quite knock it. I've had dreams about lottery numbers twice and I've won over 1500 dollars.

Hi! I'm your new best friend.

LOL. Hi.

She thinks her sister is having psychic visions like Sam. I'm fairly sure that means she's lost touch with reality!

Who's to say she isn't? I mean, there are a lot of strange and unexplainable things out there. Maybe she is, maybe she isn't.

I like to consider myself having a strong hold on reality, but I've seen enough freaky shit to know that a world beyond our present understanding is probable. There's likely even a scientific explanation for such things, we just don't know it yet.

Sometimes I dream things before they happen. But never anything freaking useful; just brief images like exiting a gymnasium behind a specific stranger. Lottery numbers would be AWESOME, please.

Then again, my family reunion contained a discussion on what to do with grandma's vengeful spirit that's causing trouble on the farm, so it's likely I have a different cultural context compared to a lot of people.

Me, too. I swear to whatever god you prefer, my childhood home was haunted. It was like in the Sixth Sense and the mother turns around and all the cupboards and drawers are open. You'd turn around and all the chairs would be pulled out from the table like people were sitting at them and you'd feel someone sitting at the foot of your bed and yeah.

I'm definitely in the "there's more out there than science can currently explain" camp.

My home was the duplex. We actually had a poltergeist at one point, which let me tell you, was not fun. Fortunately Mom knew how to deal with such matters, so the more active, nasty, scatological (that was the worst part) things were banished. I'm pretty sure that there are still more passive entities in the basement suite, so I did my best to stay clear of there until we moved. I don't LIKE things messing with things unless I know exactly what I'm messing with.

That's why I have my Tech-Support for my new laptop on speed-dial.

Does this mean that I believe everything I hear about the supernatural? No. I think most of it is a mixture of coincidence and illusion (though illusion can be very powerful in itself if one truly believes it). The more theatrical someone's experience is, the less likely I am to believe it.

But I think believing absolutely in nothing is more of a stretch than believing in the possibility of something, if that makes sense.

...hey, at least I'm not marrying anyone on the astral plane!

This is what I have, and I think many, many people are the same. Mom can actually predict events, but all I get is moments like the image of pruning a flower I hadn't bought yet, or maybe a face of a classmate before I see him for the first time.

I feel really sorry for you people if you actually believe this stuff.

Who's to say she isn't? Anyone with half a brain, that's who. The secret might as well say "Ever since my sister started levitating and shooting lasers out of her eyes..."

Coincidence, plain and simple, there are no psychics, just coincidences and crazy attention-whores.
