129 I don't know about you but for me fandom is just a hobby, not an escape from "real life problems". It might be for you, but don't lump all of us in with you. Not judging you, just speaking for myself.
150 This is one of the reasons I've never written fanfiction. Because most of the fandoms I'm into would require one to know enough Japanese to do all the research involved.
157 I thought that the gender of that character wasn't ever really established? I mean, prove me wrong, I don't watch Gundam 00, but I read about it all the time on /m/ and I thought that was the case.

I'm sure there are others I've encountered and forgotten, but 99.99% of kanji mean exactly what they mean in Chinese, which is something that comes in handy for picking up random nouns here and there while watching anime karaoke OPs/EDs.
