111. I'm not ashamed of the stuff I wrote when I was younger, either, and I don't regret any of it. Hell, I don't even hate any of it, when I think of it as a kid writing it. If I wrote it now I'd be a little ashamed of myself, and it wouldn't be anywhere good compared to my skill level (or what I'd like to think my skill level is), but for the age at which I wrote my horrible crack and Mary Sues and stereotypical OOC pairingfics and songfics, they certainly weren't that bad.
114. I think she was just way too strongly thinking of him as a father figure, romance or attraction wouldn't have occurred to her canonically even if it was a possibility. I bet it could be written really well, but you're right, it wouldn't have worked in the show at all -- Buffy even trying wouldn't have made any sense unless they really worked at it.

(That said, I love Calvin & Hobbes, but I haven't liked Garfield in a LONG LONG LONG time. I do, however, think Garfield Minus Garfield (http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/) is one of the best things on the Internet. SO. |D)

122. There's a good chance he thinks it's hot. |D Plus, you know... if you're only loving and obsessing over fictional girls, they're not really a threat at all. It'd be ridiculous if he was getting jealous or pissy over it.

129. This. It's not even so much "IT'S AN ESCAPE I DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH IT," it's just like... what the fuck do these people expect us to do? Just sit around in the dark crying for a few days and not enjoying anything, just because something horrible happened? There is more to life than the stuff that doesn't matter much, but the stuff that doesn't matter much, the stuff that makes people happy, is still an important part of life.
134. You're not! It's really sensitive/nice for some people (especially women, I think), but it can also be sensitive/irritating, or just have no effect at all. Depends on the person -- and really, probably just the technique, too.
137. You shouldn't worry so much -- people that get pissed off because of the existance of a character with a certain trait, without considering anything else about the character, are being ridiculous. I have some transgendered OC's too. And some genderqueer and genderfluid characters. I think a strong desire myself to be genderfluid helps, but you shouldn't have to be transgendered to write a transgender character, as long as you're doing your research and doing it right.
