I sometimes wonder if I should go rewatch that movie just to remember what it's about.

I had a preschool classmate for one year named Casper. I was moved up a grade after adjusting but our parents stayed in touch. And then sometime during junior high he fell off a building and died. They found filming equipment on the balcony and deduced it was an accident. I went to his funeral.

Sorry I don't know where I'm going with this, but I always think about him briefly whenever the movie is mentioned.

I do like this film. I was about 10/11 when it came out and I mostly...liked the Ghostly Trio bits. I think I might've been doing it wrong? Giving Casper a death backstory definitely stuck with me though, that was pretty emotional and was one of many things in childhood that made my mortality hit me like a train. I'd lost three of my grandparents by the early 90s and my last grandma died in very early 96, so I was a bit raw about these things.

The spin-off cartoon was alright as well, but I was sort of doing my too cool for cartoons routine at that age and pretended I didn't like it.

Nah, my sister was the same.

She loooved the ghostly trio. Especially Stinky. I still laugh at her for that weird crush to this day.

Wtf I had a crush on Stinky too when I was a kid. I try not to think about it very much. Jesus.
