For me, kudos are the best thing ever. I don't like getting comments and would turn off the ability for people to comment on all my fics at AO3 if I could, but I live for kudos! Kudos are the sole thing I hope for when I post a new fic and I love getting them on old fic, too.

I do post in tiny fandoms where I sometimes get neither kudos nor comments, so it's not that I need kudos to continue writing and posting, but getting them is my jam, my happy place.
