(Anonymous) 2020-05-30 04:58 am (UTC)(link)There's some work I'm never going to finish because the comments kinda fizzled out and then I wondered if I was even doing well telling a story anymore.
On the flip side I would happily receive only kudos forever if it meant no one mean/troll commented. One such comment on a fic I wrote two years ago landed me in a two year writing dry spell that I only just managed to break out of. (I'm not against recieving legit crit but this one basically amounted to "you wrote the story wrong, here's what should've happened" and it hurt me so bad)
