Ahh, sorry! I totally get what you're saying! This secret and a mix of recognizing other writers who feel this way that I never see around in like writers comments just spurred me on to ask!
I pretty much read fanfiction 24/7 and I suppose as a commenter more than any sort of writer, I'd definitely be more likely to comment on the fics of the individual whom I recognize than not. (which obviously you've said as much in your original reply)

So for someone who values comments on their own works so much I would imagine they would look for and try to do the same for any others they came across? Even just as a means as getting comments for themselves, or even as a general act.

You do make a great point however! I'm not about to judge someone for wanting recognition/feedback on what they write. Ahh, it's far too early in the morning for me to collect my thoughts enough to make a proper reply, but basically I do agree!
