you're right and you should say it

ariana is obviously a v talanted vocalist, and i enjoy a number of her songs. but over her career she's found a singing style that fits the music she wants to make better (which i think is great), and it's made her less versatile in music that isn't ari-brand pop. sometimes it works out. that cover of wizard and i was lovely, and i listen to it all the time! but i agree w you that she didn't suit this role at all. as far as acting goes, i've only seen her as cat valentine, so i might be biased in saying that seems to be her strong suit i guess lmao.

and maddie baillio was so cute in this! she def deserves attention for her talents
