Well, it's partly my own preferences... I love the idea of a mysterious cave in the woods and unexplained phenomenon and I guess I thought it'd be more of a supernatural/paranormal type show? So when I found out the premise was time travel, it was a big let down. I don't like time travel shows where it's the main SUPER SERIOUS focus rather than just a simple plot device to get people into different situations, i.e. Doctor Who.

I also found it hard to like or sympathize with a lot of the adult characters. People are unpleasant and do unpleasant things and I just... don't want to watch that.
