Most (white) people's hair is flat and thin when you comapre it to what's shown on tv and in films (and red carpet,a nd music videos) - we're so used to wigs, waves, add-ons, and weird voulme tricks that we sort of lost the plot on what's the "regular" amount of hair. It's very safe to assume that whatever hair you see on the actcress or a singer is largely not their own. Meryl here is just an exception (because of age, image, etc).
