edit I will say I'm kind of HORRIFIED about how many Hidan fan girls there are who don't seem to realize that he's an evil bastard. Its like "ARE YOU WATCHING THE SAME SERIES AS ME?" Hidan is not "ZOMG SO KAWAII" gaiz.

Oooh, yes. I used to visit a lot of Kakuzu/Hidan fanart sites(Rauhreif was one of them - but I no longer can, because it's on a different server -___-), but the thing that turned me off from them was that most fanarts of Hidan made him look like a little bitch :( That's NOT Hidan. He would never be someones bitch >:(

Hidan and Deidara crazy fangirls are pretty bad. (I can tolerate the Deidara ones usually...)

Saucetards by far are THE WORST EVAR.

I barely cruise through the Naruto fandom (outside of F!S and Chuunin) and no one on my flist openly likes Naruto, so I rarely see Hidan fans at all.

Tell me about it! I had a lengthy discussion about him right here at fandomsecrets with someone who seriously argued that Hibari has no emotional problems whatsoever.

I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HIBARI~~I really need to read Reborn! already sheesh D:~~ But gah, yeah. Sooo depressing how many anime fans who dont really _ABSORB_ what they're watching, all they see is "THE PRETTY" ~~hmmm this also explains why Sasuke is so popular lmao~~

Yeah, and, you know, I really like Hibari - he's got such a potential for growth as a character! He's a real loner, prone to violence and barely even sees other people as human, but there are hints that there is a lot more depth than that to him.

As for reading Reborn... well, you've heard people say that it doesn't really take off until a few volumes in, right? It's true. Many of the first fifty or so chapters are really bad. I'm not exaggerating. And a lot of it is just filler. The first 11 chapters introduce the premise and some important characters, but the real story doesn't start to move until chapter 60 or 61. In between that some more important characters are introduced, but they're introduced in what basically reads as filler, making it rather tedious to read (though some of it is funny). Just jump ahead if you start to get bored, you won't miss much (though chapter 13 is very important to a plot point much later on).

I really, really, REALLY loathed Hibari in the beginning. I hated his attitude, and I was actually kinda happy when he took a beating from Mukurou. Now? Weeell, I wouldn't say I like him, but I guess he doesn't annoy me as much anymore. That, and Crack!shipping him with Kusakabe made him more tolerable in my eyes(No, I could never, ever see Hibari being romantically involved with anyone, and most pairings where he is involved just makes me go O__O, but for some really, really weird reason, HibaKusa doesn't disturb me).

I'm hoping that you're right about the character growth - One of my fears(probably irrational, but still)is that everyone go back to acting like they did before the Future!Arc. Not that I think Amano would do something like that, but I can't help fearing it a little :(

Well, aside from the female characters, character growth does seem to be one of the main points of KHR. Hibari is so over the top in the beginning that there has to be something more to him (yeah, a meta reason, but still).

I ship Hibari/Tsuna, so obviously I can see it, but not before a lot of character development, of course.
