Doesn't anyone like both? Or is it written somewhere that you have to hate one or the other?

Also am I the only one that likes all the companions? Is there something wrong with me?!!!??

...and also all the companions, though to be fair I haven't seen all of them if you count the old series.

There's nothing wrong with you. I like most of the companions too (I'm not a huge fan of Donna's though).

I ship Nine/Rose and not Ten/Rose but I don't actively hate Ten/Rose. For me, its a chemistry thing. I didn't think she had the same chemistry with Ten as she did with Nine. I don't like, scream and run away over Ten/Rose. I just prefer the other.

Can I ask why you don't like Donna as much? I'm not gonna like, froth at you, it just seems like everyone in the world loves her, so I'm curious.

I think part of it stems from the fact that I couldn't stand her in The Runaway Bride.

I dunno. I don't like, really hate her or anything. I like that they went in the direction of "neither she nor the Doctor want to shag each other" for these two, which wasn't the case with Martha and Rose. I guess what I really mean is that I went from really disliking her in the Runaway Bride to just being kind of indifferent to her. She's not the worst companion ever, but she's also not my favorite.

Fair enough. I actually didn't see Runaway Bride until I'd seen the first two or three episodes of series 4 (because i couldn't find it online and I figured "oh well, Christmas special, that's not important, right?" Er, wrong, apparently.), so I didn't end up wiht the same first impression of her as everyone else. She took a while to grow on me, too, I spent the first half or so of series 4 being pretty indifferent leaning towards dislike, but... I dunno, by the time she left I loved her. I do think part of why I liked her so much was that they were just friends, it was such a nice break from the first three seasons and I liked their dynamic together.

I liked all the companions. It took me a while to warm to Martha, just because I was missing Rose so much, but I like her. I even bought a coat because it reminded me of hers.

And I liked Ten. I liked Ten very much and I'll miss him when he leaves, it's just... Nine.

Kind of how I felt about Martha. Martha, you're cool, I like you, but... Rose!

Nine/Rose was just so lovely. Ten/Rose was nice too, but it wasn't Nine/Rose.
