I feel like I vaguely remember this manga. Was it the one where a bunch of terrible shit happens in just the first volume alone and the main girl starts to self-harm?

Yeah bullying in manga is so harsh, like really super harsh. Having not grown up in Japan, but growing up in an asian centric community, I still wonder about how bad bullying is there. I have heard it's pretty rough, but it still makes me wince when I read it in manga. I was lucky to have only been briefly bullied once by like two girls and that game got old after the first year, so I can't really say I know what it's like to go through that. :( Sorry it was so rough for you OP.
