"It's kind of dumb but I love it" is fine. "It's sooooo bad but I love it" is bullshit. If I genuinely and unironically like something, that's why it's good. Even if someone with a literary degree would call it badly written, the fact that I like it overrides that and makes it good. The same should go for anyone. You should never have to self-deprecate by making yourself say something important to you is bad.

I heavily disagree. I enjoy plenty of things I don't think are good. I'm not going to lie to myself that they're good in order to make my enjoyment justified. I don't need to justify my enjoyment. It's fine to like trash.

Why can't enjoyment factor be why it's good to you? When the fuck did "IDK it's just fun" stop being enough?

You can realize something is objectively terrible and still enjoy it for your own reasons. That's just being realistic, not self-deprecating.
