(Anonymous) 2020-06-05 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)Lan Xichen bears, at the very least, some responsibility for the death of Nie Mingjue, who warned him repeatedly that Jin Guangyao was not to be trusted but whom LXC ignored because he always sees the best in people. He was willfully blind to JGY's schemes and for Nie Huaisang to drag him into this mess and making him get his hands dirty, amazing.

(Anonymous) 2020-06-06 05:51 am (UTC)(link)I do think there was at least a little bit of resentment on NHS' side but yeah, actual malice would mean it was all premeditated. Which... yes, a lot of it was but the very last thing with LXC killing JGY? That was basically a spontaneous last-ditch attempt to get JGY DEAD because he was close to getting away again. No way that little detail was planned. But I imagine it having some poetic justice in NHS' eyes at the very least.
