Ugh. I agree with this. I was so down for supernatural crime solving! I loved it. Then the crimes got shoved to the wayside for sex and endless, endless, ENDLESS relationship conversations and bleh. Obsidian Butterfly was the last one I really enjoyed. I still reread that one and the ones leading up to it, but the ones after?

Now, Merry Gentry, on the other hand, I read because it was up front about the garbage of the plot from the beginning and I enjoy the sheer madness of how many baby daddies she's got. lol.

DA Obsidian Butterfly was the first one I happened to read, because it was what they had at the library, and I think the only one I finished. I was quite weirded out by a lot of what Anita did, but holy cow Edward was awesome.

Yes! It had so much potential for the supernatural crime genre with a kick ass female lead and then... it was just... wth???
