Spring/summer sinus infections are very common for me. I have allergies, and my sinuses remain stuffy for long periods due to allergies this time of year, which often leads to sinus infections. I wouldn't even give it a second thought normally, this would be a very normal occurrence for me, except that COVID is a thing right now.

Same here 100% , I (unprofessionally, ofc) recommend you do what you normally do to treat it and keep an eye on it, take your temperature, etc.

I am definitely taking my temperature. I rarely get fevers, even with things like sinus infections, so if I spike one I'll know something bigger is going on.

No. COVID is still transmissible if you have mild symptoms or even if you are asymptomatic.

Even if you don't have any of the symptoms they say come with early COVID? The symptoms they mention besides fever are dry cough, sore throat, trouble breathing and other respiratory symptoms, muscle aches, fatigue, and loss of taste or smell. Nasal congestion is not one of the symptoms they mention as a sign of COVID.

Yes, and nasal congestion is listed as a less common symptom under the advice I have read.

In my country we have good testing resources and low infection rates compared to most countries. It's possible your government only has limited testing capabilities and is not encouraging people to be proactive in seeking tests for milder symptoms. That may be why you are receiving different information.
