Bizarrely I just had this conversation with a friend the other day. It makes me sad that such an amazing writer has such a harsh stance on fanfiction, especially given that her reasons for it are completely ridiculous.

I've read the Farseer and Tawny Man books, but I haven't touched anything else of hers and I'll definately never buy another one.

I think I'ved missed something. I know of a lot of writers who aren't fond of folks playing in their sandbox, and it bugs me, but never to the extent that I can't enjoy their books.
Did she do/say something wanky?
