Yep. Calling women "sluts" is sexist. There is nothing wrong with having sex with lots of people, if that's what you and they want. I don't think you're ready to understand this, though.

Um but slut is a word for someone who sleeps around. The term is used interchangeably between genders. If you think even girls don't use this, you're very mistaken.

No, "slut" is a word people use to degrade women who has had several sexual partners. There is nothing wrong with having sex often and with different people, as long as you don't hurt anybody. Recently, it's sometimes begun to be used for men as well, but the origin and meaning of the word are inherently sexist, and the word itself should be eradicated.

And just because girls use it, doesn't mean it's any less sexist. Women can be just as sexist as men. Yes, towards their own gender. When women fought for the right to vote, many many women were against it, saying themselves that women's brains were unfit for politics.

Yeah, but I use it for dudes too, so... really there's no difference for me here. You could replace Ginny with like... Draco I guess and I'd still think the same thing.

And srsly? Word origins usually mean very little over time. They start as one thing and evolve into another over time. Personally I believe that slut is one of them and can be applied to both genders. Really, it's sexist to assume that because of what does or doesn't dangle between my legs, my words hold a different sway.

Yeah, I gathered you weren't ready. Try and think it over for a few years, seeing the effect of the word, and the feeling it garners? Think about why it's used and for what purpose.

This is a very common defence from those in the wrong who have no other arguments. While words evolve, it does take time, and a word hasn't evolved just because some random person on the internet thinks it has.
