+1 on Dana Scully

and, if we're being honest, Mulder too, even if he's not really my type

AYRT - Yeah, I thought about including Mulder. I know everyone is different on which seasons he was hottest, but I'm firmly in the "S1 Mulder was eleven-out-of-ten GORGEOUS" camp. He remained extremely good looking, but for my personal taste, was never again as hot as he was in S1. So I wasn't sure whether to include him on the list or not. Probably should have, though. The man was fine.

Looking back, it's kind of wonderful how TXF managed to get two leads who were simultaneously gorgeous, and yet...almost in a way where you could miss it? They both have such distinctive, non-generic features. Put them in boring suits and make them talk almost academically about the paranormal, and you could literally forget they were hot as hell. Like, yeah, those two weirdos in the basement, wasting their degrees on make believe and paranoia. *gets all nostalgic* It was beautiful.

I will say I love it when the show occasionally makes fun of Mulder for looking like an underwear model

The bit in Humbug, "Imagine going through your whole life looking like that", is so good
