Went to work, worked. It was super hot and dry out so I feel kind of awful and have heat rash where my thighs rub together which is gross. I bought ice cream for my coworkers and brought some food out to a homeless couple that hang around outside my work.

It was our security guard’s last day and I hope her next assignment works out for her; her life seems kind of chaotic and stressful and was interfering with her job so I think my boss had her transferred, but she’s good at it when life isn’t raining shit, and since we don’t have any say in who our guards are, our next one might suck and not just be kind of flakey because her life sucks.

The phoebe chicks nesting by my back door are almost ready to leave the nest, I think. We have feral and stray cats, hawks, owls, and raccoons around so I hope all the fledglings make it; there were four eggs but I only count three babies now.

I have to make work lunches for the next couple days and I don’t want to turn the oven on because I don’t have AC and it’s hot in here.
