I don't remember terribly well, but didn't the forgiveness happen too quickly to really be able to say she stopped being abusive? I don't remember any timeskip, and someone being abusive their whole life only to stop immediately and be forgiven is pretty cheap. I know it's fiction so we're told and supposed to take for granted that she's actually changed for good, but... well, that's also cheap. Show that she's really changed, don't just have her say so, stop for a few days, and expect us to believe the change is permanent.

DA I do remember it happened pretty fast. I just figured the mangaka needed to finish the story and didn’t have time to give Akito a proper redemption arc.
