Re: What are your ridiculous headcanons, FS?
(Anonymous) 2020-06-12 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)Oh, definitely! I would never ask a celebrity what their sexuality is or insist they announce it on social media (although I sometimes wonder to myself, but I realize that it's actually none of my business).
The weird thing is that the first time it came up, he was the one to bring it up (and said the quote from my post above). The times it's come up on social media of people wondering if he's gay he didn't deny it and said something like "who cares if I am, there's nothing wrong with that" and he's brought it up a time or two himself but then didn't really say anything about it. I know one of his costars brought it up once and he changed the subject.
I just find it kind of strange the way he chooses to go about it. I don't know why I said before that I don't know why it comes up, because he's super flirty with guys, and regardless of the wife seems more into men than women so of course people are going to wonder even if I guess technically they shouldn't because he has a wife. My dad (who's generally completely oblivious to these kinds of things) even asked if he was gay after seeing a pic of him kissing his male costar (the one I mentioned above, who asked about it on TV) and I just said "nah, he's just really touchy feely".
I mean, I get the "I don't want to say I'm straight because that would imply being gay is bad" part if he's trying to be super sensitive and not offend anyone (although he's gotten in trouble several times things for things he's said, so I don't know that that's likely). The "I don't want to say I'm gay because then people would judge me for it forever" part is what's the weirdest to me. Why not not say you're gay because YOU AREN'T?
The whole situation is just weird to me, IDK. I mean, ultimately I will most likely never meet him and it doesn't affect my life in any way no matter what his sexuality is, it's just something that makes me wonder.
