My dad managed to push his newish PC off his desk and now it won't turn on (the space around the power supply is pretty dented so that's probably why, though who knows what else is broken). I do feel bad for him but at the same time... he was doing an online whiskey tasting via webcam and wasn't anywhere near sober anymore and he has been drinking quite a bit lately so this is actually one of the more harmless things that could have happened. But it's not like he'll learn anything from this.
Also, I'm annoyed because I just spent the last week fixing my own PC and now I'll have to continue with his and I hate doing this.

Do you have to fix it? What would happen if you didn't?

I mean, I'll try with the means I have (like switching out some parts to see if stuff works) because I'm nice and it's not like I'll die doing it, it's just annoying. But the way I see it, he'll have to take it to a specialist anyway because I don't have spares of every part lying about to test everything.

the curse of being a computer techie (or even just "that person who knows things about computers") - you end up having to fix them for EVERYBODY, like your uncle's boss and your cousin's girlfriend's sister and GRRRR
