This for me, too. But it has to be written well, and not shoehorned in or thrown in for simple shock value.

Agreed. And I have to buy into it actually being empowering for the character. I didn't, for example, enjoy the Sansa forced to marry Ramsay. Badly written and not in my opinion a good example of this type of storyline working.

Yeah. I understand WHY they did it (combining book storylines) but I can't help but wonder if there wasn't a better way to go about it. Or, idk, just choose a random girl since the original bride wasn't even who she said she was anyway.
