I'm really fed up of having to live life this way because I'm finding it so draining. Sometimes I miss even simple things like being able to walk straight into a supermarket without queuing. Yet at the same time I don't get people who can't wait to go to the pub/a restaurant/etc because I don't think I'd feel ready or safe right away.

I think we're looking at the end of the month for non-essential shops (we're a little behind England) and mid-July for tourist attractions. But given the nature of the one I work for, I can't imagine we'll be able to open. It's the same stairway up and down - impossible to socially distance unless you restrict numbers. The accounts/projections coming from our company accountant are really scaring me though.

Oh man, same. I don't mind the being at home part - I worked from home for a while before and I actually really enjoy it - but the difference between then and now is that I could go out and hang with my friends, I could go walk to Starbucks for a drink if I wanted to, I went to the weekly wine tastings at my local liquor store, etc. Being at home is one thing but essentially being STUCK at home is another.

Working from home was an occasional perk of my job, like I'd probably do it once a week on a Friday to have a relaxing slide into the weekend and I'd get LOADS done without office distractions.

But every day with no choice to really go anywhere sucks. I'm furloughed for at least three weeks now but I still preferred working from home to this as at least it gave me some structure.

Yeah, it's the lack of choice that's killing me - the fact that I can't go anywhere even if I want to. Otherwise I would be perfectly content with this situation.

I'm with you! Just shopping for food is such a big ordeal these days, it's exhausting, but I'm also afraid to go back to the way things were before. Everything is just so weird right now.

Having to think about what you're doing, where you're going and how you're doing it way more than you ever had for most of your life is definitely exhausting. I went on a 5K training run earlier and unfortunately the weather improved as I headed out so the park got busy. Dodging families and cyclists and other runners...really not fun, especially when trying to maintain a distance.

Yeah, it's really stressful. I've had dreams a few times now of being out and realizing I forgot to take my mask and panicking...that's apparently the new 'naked in front of a crowd' anxiety dream.
