"babygirl" was always cliche and meh to me, but I'm surprised no one called out "chocolate thunder" during the show's run.

I always enjoyed him calling her babygirl.

And all the corny ways they answered the phone lol so cheesy. They were work husband/wife. But I really loved their friendship.

I liked the whole babygirl thing and I hate petnames normally, since it wasn't sexual and it was just for fun.

I normally don't like pet names. But this was between friends and felt really in-character for them, so I was fine with it and actually liked it for them. For them it worked.

Yeah, same.

I haven't watched this show for years, so I don't remember many specifics. Nonetheless, maybe it's partly because it seemed kind of vaguely mocking (they were never really going to hook the overweight computer nerd up with the muscular hottie, after all), but I hated their unprofessional faux-flirting while they were supposed to be investigating crimes that were often vile sex-based murders. The "cutesy" nicknames just made it that much worse.
