I'm not naive enough to not think that there aren't fangirls for the smut.

I agree with the smut part. At least the fanfictions tend to keep IC as they can. The doujins tend to distort since a lot of them are gag humor smut, but I do get irked when it's OOC to the point that "what's the point of doing these characters?"

Well, yeah, it's our opinions but I felt that the fandom isn't all that bad. One of the most enjoyable ones I've been in because no one bitches on how to play in the sandbox.

But I was genuinely confused by the secret maker. I wonder if the secret maker was a more of a gen fan or whatever. I think most of the fanfics are kinda good as least on the comm. fanfiction.net, however....

True. One of the doujinkas that takes OOC-ness too far is Apple of Eden (at least with most of her work that I've seen), her doujinshis don't even have that much smut in them...

Also true, i guess I should be fair and not hate too much, because that was also one of the reasons I stayed there...it's just that now is getting too big for my taste for some of the newer fans tend to whine about the plot too much, which I find kind of stupid since that series didn't make sense since the beginning.

Well if the secret maker likes gen, there's a gen community for this
series--it doesn't have as much activity as i would like to see. Although they do admit that they stayed because of one of the characters. I also think that fanfiction.net is the worst place to look for "good" fics if they went there, but it is also kind of hard to find them within the community.

I can see where Apple of Eden can annoy you since she makes Hibari more functional human being than he really is. Some of her works are okay when she decides to put Hibari more IC. The worst offender I've found so far was Naki Ringo of TWO LOVERS, she takes OOC to a new field. I scream if any anthology I buy has her in it (or ultimately suck it up if they have doujinka I like).

I don't think it's only the new fans complaining, but I so agree with the constant bitching over the Future Arc and the "Where's the Varia? Where's Xanxus?" comments that sorta shadows the weekly new chapter discussion.

I guess it's true for some people to find fics that they like. I don't feel that way in the comm, maybe because of past fandoms (lol Gundam Wing). But we'll have to disagree on that one.

Well. at least I'm happy that we could find some common ground on this despite the wankiness of the secret.

Irk, I meant I find the bitching annoying too.

And the people bitching that the current plot twists being confusing, I'm like ":| It's not that big of a deal. Stop it and let Amano tell what she/he wants to tell us."
