I feel this secret so much. TBH one big reason I started posting headcanons and then fics in my ship fandom was because the one big name fan in this ship fandom shipped the pair as abusive, and their fic is what people think of when they think of my OTP. But I (and many others) don't think this relationship is abusive (between each other anyway), and it bugged me that this was the main way non-shippers thought the ship fandom shipped the pair.

I know when I find a rarepair I like I tend to create a STORM of content, sometimes for a single other reader.

It's a rarepair. There's enough space FOR ALL the content creators. I figure that person probably feels like a BNF in there rather small puddle that is your rarepair.

I usually don't encourage people to do things out of spite or pettiness (usually). So if you have a good time while you make this fic, all the better!

This is me with a character more than a ship.

The other major writer and RPer for this character writes him as some sort of womanizer, who is practically keeping girls away with a stick and is just filthy-smooth all the time.

Rubbish. He's awkward in canon. He's shit at women. He either ends up offending them, or being harshly rebuffed. He's not confident.

I write to set a balance, god damn it.
