The last statement made me laugh.

But it's true, that's not really Gen in any shape or form. Sounds like an intense fandom. I'm in one that I enjoy, but some of the people in it are a little bit scary....it does get aggravating when you just want to enjoy the content you like. Maybe you can download the stuff you do like and take a break for a while? Hope it's still active later on.
