Maybe you can use this series to motivate you to write a better fantasy novel that’s more respectful and well-researched. I haven’t read it, so I can’t comment on it, but sometimes when I read a really bad fic for my pairing, it motivates me to write a “better” one.

I don't care how much Uhtred was still in mourning from just losing Beocca and tired of death, he refused Brida a death by sword that, in her world, would have been a valid and honourable choice, and instead let her be taken as a hated slave by the Welsh, which for all Uhtred knew meant she'd spend a few years getting starved, abused, humiliated and raped before the Welsh grew bored with the novelty of having brought a woman warrior so low and killed her themselves. Uhtred didn't save her life, he condemned her to a fate worse than death, and imo Brida is perfectly justified never forgiving him for that.

I liked this show a lot more than I thought I would.

I don't think I'm supposed to like Raul at all, but I wanted to because he was interesting. I initially thought that he was behind it, but that there was another person who would hack him and end up being the actual reason people started getting hurt. It was darker than I was expecting.

I liked Logan/Veronica back in the day too when I was more inclined to forgive Logan his sins so I could enjoy the hot bad boy who has chemistry with the main character. These days I'm like nooooo, young lady. That boy is bad news.

I don't know where they'd go with it if they got another season. The ending was pretty crazy.
