I never really got into Free (despite it being an anime that should’ve been right up my alley), but I share your frustration with liking certain shows and not being able to talk to my friends about them because they either don’t like those shows or they would think it’s weird that I do like them.

Is it bad or is it good that while scrolling down I only saw their tufts of hair and knew right away it was something MakoHaru (and was overjoyed)? Anyway.

I feel you. My fandom experience consists in "lonely posting in ship challenges" and my IRLs dislike anime. My single online anime fandom friend vehemently refused to watch Free! dismissing it as shitty fanservice anime ... for 6 years. But then she did and guess what? She liked it. So, well, never give up, anon. They might just acknowledge you were right all along... in a few years? Lol.

I watched Free! during a really rough part of my life and it meant a lot to me that it made me feel any better, even though it's a kind of silly show and not something I have any fandom friends into. I still think about my OTP from when I watched it, too...

Same, OP. Same. They will forever hold a special place in my heart.
