I'm not going to do a line-by-line thing but every individual aspect of the stories is incredibly tropey so convergent evolution seems at least possible

No, you're completely right. The Untamed one is definitely copied from the Sterek one. It's not even remotely ambiguous that it was copied.

Are you going to let the author of the Sterek one know? If you don't, I will. Discreetly, if possible.
