If you're all of those things... how are you also a Mormon? I admit I don't know much about Mormonism, but a friend was one, and she was a devout conservative because she insisted she "had" to be for her church.

I'm not the OP, but I am a very liberal Christian - although the majority of a belief system may be anti-something or other doesn't necessarily mean that it's part of that religion's fundamental doctrine or the only way to interpret its scripture (for example, many Christians are against gay marriage because they think the scriptures forbid it entirely, but others are very much for gay rights because they think that lifestyle choices are personal and there are no reasons outside of religious belief to forbid those civil rights).

Excuse me but being gay is not a lifestyle *choice*. It's something a person is born with.

I was talking about gay marriage (which is a lifestyle choice), not simply being gay (which, as you said, is not).
