Although, I personally, would totally go for Finnian. <3107: ARE YOU ME? XD I don't ship a lot of het. A bit here and there, but not much. Honestly, when I started watching/reading Neuro, I was in it for Sasazuka/Ishigaki. But then I started paying more and more attention to Neuro and Yako's interactions, and how Yako wants to help Neuro when ninety percent of the population would have gotten as far away from his as possible as soon as possible. And the way Neuro occasion says things (especially in the manga) that are borderline encouraging to her when she's really, really down. Somehow, I ended up shipping it more than anything else. XD
I hope that it will become canon. After all, Neuro has slowly been becoming something roughly human, right? So... I think it could work out. Possibly. ^^
