I can't actually remember now... was there this massive butthurt around when people started writing Sam/Ruby last year? I don't remember it... and yet, somehow Dean/Castiel is this enormous betrayal (as articulated by an anonymous earlier in the comments, and I saw similar sentiments when the comms were first set up). Is it because it's slash? Is it because it's Dean? What is it?

You're anon, I doubt you'll get this, but...

The funny thing is that I'm the person who set up the Dean/Castiel comm, and I never really shipped Sam/Dean. I'd read if it there was some plot point I was looking for, but Sam/Dean never really grabbed me. If someone wants to say that I betrayed the Wincesters, they'll have a hard time finding my hoardes of hidden Wincest fics. O_o

I saw similar comments on my own flist, but I'm sorry to hear that the person in this secret is still dealing with them. Personally, I'd say "fuck them" and go on with shipping whoever.
