117 - There's plenty of anime out there that's NOT like that. Take "Monster", for instance. Wonderful, and I don't remember there being any fanservice in it at all (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Also, the characters are well-developed, and even the "Pretty Boy" in it flips the script.

118 - I do this sometimes, but if the bad guy is irredeemable, I can't. Bad guy HAS to have some redeemable qualities (example: I would ship Batman with Two-Face, but not with the Joker -- and that goes for comic books and movie-verse)

117. FUCK YEAH, MONSTER. I need to recommend that to more people. I have a feeling that my one friend who, to date, only likes Serial Experiments Lain and hates pretty much everything else anime would actually really love it.

118. Batman/Riddler? :D (Sorry, the Riddler just recently became one of the most sympathetic, or at least likeable, comic book villains to me.)
