115. There's some pretty good porn over in the X-Men fandom. Seriously, the BNFs of the Ororo/Logan ship write some fuckin' hot as hell porn.

160. Yeah, I noticed that trend to, and I don't get it because to me, if you change an aspect of Stella's personality like that, then you automatically lose part of what made their relationship, as friends or lovers, interesting in the first place.

Unfortunately... I've found that the CSI: NY fandom kinda blows in this regard.

164. I've always figured you're slotted one OTP per fandom. I've got a couple, though I admit there's one that I love the best. So that's my... One One True Pairing? (Oh yeah, BTW, Xena/Gabrielle was my first pairing ever, and they are still amazing to this day.)

Exactly.

See, I've been in the fandom since the start, and it used not to be this bad. There *are* smart fans still in it, but either they're people who have never written fic, or they have things going on in RL that means they're not producing fic. So if you look at our comms it's not exactly representative. (Now there's all the fangirling over Angell because she's 1) "non-threatening" and 2) has no personality, so they can self-insert--which is the case whether they realize it or not--and it's driving me insane.)

I miss my fandom, dammit. And I've had it up to here ^ with people calling Stella/Mac "Smacked" and I'm going to have to say something public about how offensive it is.
