That's not exactly true. If you are seriously hardly ever attracted to someone of the opposite sex, there are maybe one or two or even three people in the world you'd ever make an exception for, I don't think it's so easy to say "omg but that means you're bi!" Just like if someone was straight and had one or two gay crushes, I wouldn't insist that they weren't heterosexual if those were totally the exceptions to the rule.

I do think bisexuality has a weird stigma, and once you start getting to a certain point you may want to question your sexuality (being attracted to a third or fourth as many of the opposite sex as you are the same sex, or vice versa? you just might be bi). I don't get why people shy away from bisexuality as an option. But I don't think that's the case all of the time, especially not if it's just a small handful of exceptions.
