This ship on SG-1 is a great example of what I'd love for more shows to do. It was just subtle enough for my taste and not overt (/lazy) about their roles. I hate "then the awesome kickass lady sacrifices her career or reputation to get the D from her boss/CO" tropes. I was so glad to not deal with that on this show.

I agree. I love subtle ships. Also, Sam Carter in general was an amazing character.
